Welcome!
Welcome to SaLSA, Surrey and London Silk Artists, a branch of The Guild of Silk Painters.
SaLSA, Surrey and London Silk Artists, was founded by Jane Cameron, and is a joint website for the Surrey and London branches of the international Guild of Silk Painters. Members meet up regularly to hold workshops, share knowledge, drink tea and generally have fun!The Branches are open to all silk painters, and those who have an interest in silk painting. We ask all our regular attendees to join the Guild of Silk Painters to receive a discount on meeting and workshop fees. Guests are welcome to attend up to three meetings prior to joining the Guild.
So, when do we meet, and where?
Surrey Branch
The Surrey Branch of the Guild of Silk Painters was set up by Jane Cameron in 2005.
Members meet on (usually) the third Sunday of the month, at a range of venues around Surrey. These sessions normally take the form of a short workshop or a "tea and cake" session, and fees are payable.
Please contact me for further details, and to book your place.
London Branch
FREE Networking events are held approximately every three months, normally on a Sunday afternoon, in the bar of The Mad Hatter Hotel, near Waterloo station. 3-7 Stamford Street, London, SE1 9NY. This is a spacious and quiet venue, with great transport links, and we have an area booked to the rear.
This is a great opportunity to meet other silk painters and discuss your work. Please contact me to be informed when the next date has been set up.
